Hi Matthew. Thank you for taking the time to respond. This shift seems to be primarily one that is monetarily driven. It is always hard to change that tide. I do think the UX profession, as a whole, is “bohemian” and in many ways will resist the change. We have seen this in recent years with employees drawing the line as to the values they have versus those the organization has.

Ultimately though, I think this question is probably the subject of a much larger topic than I can get into in the comment section here. One thing to keep in mind: Every place you work is a vote for the values of that organization. If you don’t like the values, move on. Life is too short.
