I have that same issue with projects a lot of times — they are often bland and you sort of just sit there at your desk and wonder how this really improves the user’s life. I could probably suffer through a boring project if it were a noble endeavor and would change or improve lives…or at the very least the experience.

Healthcare, however, is a completely different animal with too many problems to list here. The entire industry is more than decade behind any other when it comes to technology. Much of the design that takes place in that industry is focused on efficiency, regulation and profit. Moreover, out-of-the-box solutions often impeded truly creative approaches. But I keep on designing and working the industry. Semper Fi — always faithful.
