I think you might have boiled down my past year’s worth of articles to a single paragraph, Christopher. The trends you speak of tend to be a pet peeve of mine. I like models, but bristle when they are used as templates in a rigid fashion. The idea of “making stuff” is where this article was going. This is where we become more of a factory than an organization of thinking people. That might an overly simplistic summation, but not entirely inaccurate.
