Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment, Raquel. For some reason, it seems like people forget they were once young designers trying to get their first job. It is as though we expect everyone to come to our organization fully ready to do the job and require nothing in return except a paycheck. I have always balked at this attitude. I believe employment is mutually beneficial (or should be). As a leader, I must be very concerned with the growth of the employees I lead. It is not only good for the organization but also good for the profession when we take this sort of approach to designers just starting their careers.
